When it comes to formidable compact luxury SUVs, the 2022 Cadillac XT4 hits the nail on the head in more ways than one. Blowing its competitors out of the water in a range of segments, we at Heritage Cadillac cannot get enough of this model! To prove that it is worth your time, we've pitted it against the 2022 BMW X1.

Performance

Right away, the 2022 XT4 shines brightly, thanks to its 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine rumbling at its core. Thanks to this system, you'll be able to wield 235 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque the moment your foot meets the accelerator. This can also be credited to the standard 9-speed automatic transmission. The competing SUV by BMW may leave you feeling underwhelmed, as its 2.0L BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder powertrain only cranks out 228 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Picking up the pace might also take more time, as it is left with an 8-speed automatic transmission. If that weren't enough to draw you towards the Cadillac ride, you'll be pleased to know that only the XT4 of the two models has DuraLife® brake rotors, which aid in increasing rotor life and minimizing brake pulsation.

Exterior

Undoubtedly, both the 2022 Cadillac XT4 and 2022 BMW X1 are aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but a vehicle must offer more than a refined look to be satisfactory. Fortunately, the former SUV reigns champion in this segment as well! To demonstrate, be sure to check out trim levels that have available 19-inch and 20-inch wheels for a heightened vantage point. With the BMW vehicle, you'll only have an 18-inch set. Form and function beautifully blend when you spring for roof rails! And when you choose the XT4, you'll get to choose from four different styles. Once again, the X1 barely makes the cut with one design. If you head out on the open road and are faced with a flat tire, you'll appreciate that the Cadillac model comes standard with a Tire Inflator Kit - a feature not offered in the BMW automobile.

Technology

These days, innovation is a must, which is why the cabin of the Cadillac XT4 is nearly overflowing with convenience technologies for a more enjoyable time down Lake Street. Although both vehicles come with Apple CarPlay®1, only the Cadillac is equipped with Android Auto™2. If that wasn't enough to seal the deal, you'll definitely want to hop into an XT4 that features a 13-speaker arrangement by Bose®. Unfortunately, the BMW X1 only maxes out at seven speakers. If you've got a family member who is learning the rules of the road, you'll want to make use of the Cadillac's standard Teen Driver feature to aid in improvement. Once again, the X1 fails to deliver, as it does not offer such an amenity.

It's clear from the 2022 Cadillac XT4 vs 2022 BMW X1 near Schaumburg, IL, that our star model is the winner! To check out this fine piece of machinery, visit the location of Heritage Cadillac today.
