    • Good, Not Great...

After 50k+ miles I decided to write a review of this machine...Would I buy it again, most likely not. However, and here we go. it's a beautiful CUV and when it was made in 2021 many of the standard options were upgrades in higher end Japanese autos as well as many German and European models. The motor is subpar for the size, it needs a bi-turbo system or 2 more cylinders. And while we're at it, 2 more gears...all models are limited to the same engine/trans package only caveat is the AWD/FWD and wheel size between models (18 vs 20). Fuel mileage is awful, mixed driving is on or about 19.5 mpg and may see a "true" 23 mpg on the highway with a perfect temp, flat, no load on HVAC and a small tail wind. Rear storage is smaller than the first Cessna 152 I flew...small bags with no hard sides, and the ability to be smashed together. The 40k sparkplug change is asinine in this day and age...especially if you cannot do them yourself; mid-atlantic dealers charge $500 for 4 spark plugs - takes about 10 minutes total. In the 20" wheel, tires are expensive and they do not wear well - expect 30-35k out of ANY set Now, driving it and what the machine will do is remarkable...it inspires confidence and is the greatest automobile I've ever had for interstate/highway driving. However, the engine issues are a show stopper for most people, it's not IF the head cracks - it is when and Mazda will not support you with exception of stating that it takes 2-3 weeks for an engine and another week to install it all for $9k plus tax and the kick in your stomach! I paid cash for mine in November 2021 @ $46k OTD...no accidents, it gets waxed quarterly and drives as nice as the day it was new. Surprisingly it's worth $20.5k trade-in and about 10% more on private sale. Just under 60% depreciation in under 4 years... So, maybe for you - maybe not...just don't buy a CX-90, it's ugly as well as overpriced...go buy a Toyota!

Bought this used from a dealer as a certified used car from a lease turn in. Great condition and low miles for the year. Runs great and I love the way it handles. The trunk space is a little small if using the third row seating, but that’s to be expected.
